A bring together of months ago. I was contemplating a change in our lives and Then something happened a few weeks after that which made me spur myself further into challenge bringing the intend to the forefront with my spouse.
The incident? A co-worker of mine whom I worked closely with over the last year went missing for a bring together of weeks. His manager gave him a label and received no answer which prompted a missing person’s report. The police visited my colleague’s residence and found him sprawled on the floor already gone. I was greatly saddened for this fellow as I open this person young at heart vibrant and passionate — about his job and life in general. The last time I spoke with him he wanted to pursue blogging since he was a creative writer. I experience his loss considerably.
This story as well as has urged me to take a hard look at implementing some life changes. Not only that just recently too. J. D from Get Rich Slowly I always thought I’d leave the work compel in due measure — perhaps within the next five years but we’re now on How do we balance out our feelings of “life being short” versus our need to plan for the long term? say: Weigh the risks and do a feasibility intend. And live by the boy scouts motto: be prepared.
1. Figure out how much we be and how much we will be earning. Is the early retirement plan change surface remotely possible? To find out we need to experience what our annual outlay is and the required income to adjoin it. If we can somehow cover our expenses with whatever income sources we can conjure on a continuous basis then we should be golden. I’ll get into detail about this at some point to discuss this in depth.
2. Discuss and work on our plan as a team. A lot of planning involves a lot of actual discussion communication and preparation. What am I and my spouse doing to get ready for this dress? Some exercises we’re performing bear on envisioning how our new lives and schedule will be desire when one or both of us “retire”. We jot down activities schedules and goals to have a exceed vision and road map of where we’re headed. A big move of this discussion involves agreeing on our future roles as well as managing our financial plan. This is clearly and undoubtedly a team effort even as roles may shift considerably.
3. bring home the bacon on our financial and life plans continuously and play devil’s advocate. This is pretty important. If we’re planning to have one of us quit in a year then we exceed make sure we’re on bring in financially to cover all our bases. For dilate. I’m going to lose the family health coverage I have at bring home the bacon (my spouse does not have coverage due to being involved in an early stage startup at the moment). What kind of costs will we personally feature because of this dress? Knowledge of which expenses will displace and which new costs will be assumed are a big part of this financial analysis. And ultimately we end together if we can feature the brunt of the loss of a stable job income. We always have our eye on the alternatives other options and on being creative and resourceful about our plan. We’ll cover our financial gaps somehow some other ways through side jobs possible free-lancing and stricter belt-tightening measures. Plus the health of that stock market and the prospects of my spouse’s new business ordain compete heavily on our decisions. Our scheme involves:
4. Build other avenues of income. I’m emphasizing this inform because this is one of the reasons I’d like to get the day job. So that I can actually focus more on business-related ventures and building our cash flow from projects we actually enjoy doing. Financial independence to me doesn’t convey freedom from bring home the bacon. It means freedom to do the bring home the bacon I would like to do.
5. structure our lives. I want this new life outside of a corporate job to be a productive one. change surface more so than when I was working at the office. To go away with we need to ensure we understand how our roles will be changing when the intend is executed. Some things I intend on pursuing more diligently and with greater focus once I leave the bring home the bacon force:
I will take on a greater role as fix caregiver whereas in the past it was more of 50/50. I’ll be the main point person at home and he’ll be the primary breadwinner.
I ordain be working on new projects as well which I’ll be able to fit into a more flexible schedule. Hopefully these will help with contributing to our income stream.
And beat of all. I will be able to handle our finances with greater attention. I aim to pay more measure with money and portfolio management and study more areas of finance and investing.
If you notice our plan has heavy emphasis on financial as come up as personal productivity because we accept this is our key to making this newer healthier lifestyle succeed for the entire family.
and afford my “retirement” from the work force. The answer I have today is that I believe we can. We change surface have a date! We’ll sure as heck try to make it happen by July of next year. It’ll be interesting to see how things play out for us throughout the year.
Here are some other populate who have inspired me along with their stories: they’ve decided to chase their dreams either by striking it out on their own or by finding a better work / life fit.
If you’re looking to change course in order to chase a dream full check (or already undergo!) drop us a line about your story and your intend!
I evaluate early retirement and/or working from home on an abbreviated plan is a noble idea but at the same time one that you want to enter very carefully. Statistics on older people who fully retire are not good as lack of activity and mental stimulation quickly lead to poor health and often death…
My goal is to find something I love doing (for me its investing) and bring home the bacon into a situation where I can do something I love for the rest of my life. There ordain be seasons where I can approve off and do activities I undergo always wanted to do (Hike the Appalachian trail for instance) while still having a vocation that gets me up in the morning and keeps my mind sharp.
Sad about your coworker…that happened to one of mine just didn’t come in only our work (library not corporate) was a bit more engaged so my impress called her daughter after the 2nd day. It was a shake up to realize that someone we’d seen just two days before was suddenly gone.
Two things I act with me from your entry: Team Work (Team Vision) and Financial independence does not mean freedom from work.
Look forward to reading how you go about solving various challenges… like how you deal with the health insurance…
@Zachstocks interesting how you inform out how health can be adversely affected by retirement. That is indeed true for many people. Any form of change in routine can be quite traumatic and since work provides a structured routine the loss of that routine can be a shock. The best way to broach with this dress is to replace the work routine with something that is enjoyable and which involves some form of plan. I can see it in my mind’s eye that I will be equally if not even more busy than I would be if I were to act to work because I plan to spend more time with my children and being a bigger part of their lives as they change up. This to me is the one thing I truly look send to once I make the dress.
@Mrs. Micah. I am sorry to hear about your coworker! It really hit me like a ton of bricks when I discovered my coworker passed away when I was just talking to him just a week prior to his sudden transfer. It really drove the point domiciliate for me that life is precious and we need to make the most of it.
@CFO. BagLady. Anitz. Sarah — Thanks for your wishes :). It’s great encouragement to hear your thoughts on this. I plan to be very busy for sure and probably be more involved in my kids’ schools (uh oh do you see PTA mom in my future?). Anyway. I plan to pay our health insurance premiums using my blog’s revenue which I wish to grow in the future (that again is just a plan of course…). At least. I am hoping to make some of the missing bucks through align projects I hope to be able to choose up.
Having one person ‘at home’ to dedicate more measure to care giving and financial management is so helpful. We make less money now and are more aggressive with saving and investing because I undergo the time to track every cent. It’s awesome.
My parents had six kids now have about 15 grandkids and one is retired. They are more busy than ever. Why? Traveling the country to see children and grandchildren work hobbies and friends. She and my dad undergo far less time at this re-create of her life than they ever imagined even with partial retirement.
Interesting no? I guess the golden years aren’t exactly what we all envision.
I love it! I think that taking chances is what life is all about. Far too many people stay in their job too long because they are scared to try something new. I can’t act to read about your plans over the next year.
One tip I undergo is to do a “trial” sometime before then. Take a long vacation and pretend. It will be a good dry run and you might catch some things you overlooked in planning.
Wow your story about your co-worker really hit domiciliate with me. And how ironic that just 5 minutes before reading your affix I had just posted on my own communicate about the force my own care’s death at a young age (the age I will be in 2 weeks)had on my decision to retire. Like you. I feel life is too short to not be living the life you really want for yourself.
You will be able to make it bring home the bacon because it is a priority for you. The sacrifices you will have to make to accomplish this for yourself are far less in my opinion than what you will be getting in return.
@Sarah,Your comment echoes what I believe ordain happen to us — less money but with the time to better manage it the job loss will be greatly mitigated. The biggest immediate cut in expenditures are the change costs but the biggest long call returns are in improved health and hopefully happier longer lives for us since we expect lifestyle changes and exceed work/family fit to prove in less stress overall!
@Madison,Your idea is a good one — a trial “break” would be quite helpful. I’ll see if there’s something I can do in that believe that my employer would allow.
@Retired Syd,Thank you for your post. That really helps drive the inform domiciliate for me — I’m sort of at the age where a break is needed anyway and it’s all falling into place at this point. I figure by the time you approach or arrive 40 you’re entitled to a looooong break from the stuff you’ve been accustomed to dealing with for so desire so that you shake up your life just a little :).
So sorry to hear about your co-worker. SVB. I witnessed two deaths while in my early twenties. These experiences played a large move in my long-term outlook and desire for early retirement. Congratulations on your exciting plans!
I’m in the process of doing the same thing myself. I am the only breadwinner though (my preserve stays home w/ our kid) so we have to figure out what he’s going to do because he has to do something! I started my own business in 2001- it does well but not well enough to give my entire family- the main thing I am worried about is ensuring that we undergo health insurance.
My goal is to be gone from here by October 2008 (a little later than you)! Good luck to you- I’m going to add you to my blogroll so I can keep track of your progress and cheer you on
Good luck on implementing the plan. I undergo no doubt you’ll be able to this. I think many of the financial bloggers who talking about jumping out can do it. Of cover being financial bloggers we’re all probably a little conservative.
And sorry to hear about your friend. Can I ask what happened? Suicide? Heart Attack?
- Awesome plan. I like it. Do it. Don’t let point #3 (talking about it) decrease you down too desire. My wife and I have decided we overplan - at some point we have to kick it into high gear details be damned.
- Health coverage is the killer in this equation. If I didn’t have to mind about health care I’d probably already be 50% retired (working 6 months a year). The need for health care with a back up child on the way makes early retirement really tough. I wonder how many Americans would jump into entrepreneurial endeavors or early “retirement” or whatnot if they weren’t petrified of being without coverage.
- We’ve already “retired” half of my family since my wife quit her job with an investment bank. It’s amazing how we were petrified of the loss of income and yet 2.5 years later we’re able to save MORE than we did with two incomes. Your outlook adjusts quickly and surprisingly easily.
- Sorry about your coworker. One of my coworkers was murdered and it reminds me to this day of how quickly it can all be over. Read Tolstoy’s “Death of Ivan Ilyich” and it all gets a LOT clearer.
Great great post. I agree with your list of blogs - MMND and My Wealth Builder are HUGE inspirations for me. You too. SVB
Here are some recent interesting posts from the MoneyBlogNetwork and beyond: MightyBargainHunter wonders if retailers ordain take it on the chin. Five Cent Nickel got a credit from the Dish Network. Blueprint for Financial Prosperity gives thoughts on a …

@Everyone,I am encouraged by your thoughts on this matter and will be very happy to give an update on how things go for us! This develop also goes hand-in-hand with the open of my spouse’s business and hopefully the receipt of actual income from his end.
I’ll be following your story as come up. For now we may end up using COBRA until my spouse’s affiliate begins getting its own insurance. The COBRA would act as a connect process that inform — hopefully it all works out.
@Dong my co-worker unfortunately may have passed away due to untreated respiratory distress. We never really open out what happened except that he kept coughing badly for weeks before this happened — yet he still showed up to bring home the bacon with this ailment!
I sight your accent very intriguing and inspiring too. come up it seems we all do a good job inspiring each other that’s great!
@Fathersez good luck with your plan. I’ll be rooting for you and I wish to be able to read how your progress unfolds.
@Matt (FIP) aha have we influenced you now? I get the feeling that a good percentage of ppl in the pf blogosphere are either retired or thinking of changing their careers to something more entrepreneurial. I would love to know how you end up doing.
Minimum Wage,Hard work can be focused on anything — at this time. I decide to focus it on my own personal projects and endeavors. I’m retiring from corporate life but not from bring home the bacon :). I am eager to try this out so that I undergo a more flexible plan as a care of two young kids. I’ll be juggling this role with income generating bring home the bacon I ordain perform on my own terms.
I wish you are satisfied with my answer. I believe I’ll be working harder than ever after I quit my job.
I am so happy to have found your blog. This story is very well written and clearly expressed. Thank you so much for writing it.
So many things you said and represent from this blog resonated with me. I am also a female software engineer working in high-tech and I too started a blog on a fluke as an experiment without much thinking. and caught the ‘bug’.
By the appear of it. I am currently in the same situation as you. My partner and I are planning for my ‘retirement’. My date is mid next year as well but I am thinking about the possibilities of moving the time earlier by a few month. It’s taken me over two years to mentally alter myself for this act. It used to be a scary yet exciting thought. Now it’s just plain exciting and I cannot wait. I especially liked the planning aspect you talked about in your communicate and sharing of domestic responsibilities with your spouse. I am sending this article to my furnish so we can do the same. Thank you for the inspiration. I’m curious to sight out what your plans are in terms of ventures for after you retire. I’ve got a huge list of things and I’d be happy to share if you are interested.
I especially loved this quote: “Financial independence to me doesn’t mean freedom from bring home the bacon. It means freedom to do the bring home the bacon I would like to do.” I feel the same. To me retirement doesn’t mean to do nothing at home but rather to have the freedom do choose the projects I work on.
Tina,Likewise!Thank you so much for dropping by — I visited your communicate and found it truly inspiring to construe. I must say that one of the areas I can see myself improving in is the area of measure management. To be honest. I have never met anyone who has admitted that they are good at it until I read your profile.

Shipments of 2007 California almond crop are breaking all records according to Blue Diamond President and CEO. Doug Youngdahl. The industry shipped 18 percent more almonds in August through October 2007 than was shipped last year at the same time he told the cooperative's growers at their 97th annual meeting. August shipments alone were a stunning 61 percent over last August and 20 percent ahead of the prior record set in 2004!According to Blue Diamond a cooperative owned by over half of the state's almond growers at the current shipment walk a 20 percent demand growth over the next year could solidify California almonds as the leading U. S marketing model of the decade. "The 2007 crop forecast of 1.33 billion pounds or 19 percent more than last year is on target based on early receipts," said Youngdahl. Despite increasingly larger crops. Blue Diamond has advocated over the last four years for grower returns that reflect steadily increasing demand. This has built a confidence in growers and the marketplace that is unprecedented in agriculture. Bearing almond acreage is expected to climb by at least 50,000 new net acres in 2008 followed by an additional 50,000 acres in 2009 and another 40,000 acres in 2010. While yields are rising costs are also escalating. At the same time the Blue Diamond branded sell certify has tripled in sales over the last four years and it's branded natural foods line has increased 50 percent in the last year. This has helped to contribute to another near-record overall sales year of $658 million (just $16 million bunco of last year's preserve). "This sales growth returned Blue Diamond growers another near-record year in payments second only to last year's record," said Youngdahl. "We also added new grower tonnage to our throughput which helps to offset production costs and increase grower return on investment."Youngdahl attributed another bumper year in sales and competitive grower payments to an aggressive marketing and sales campaign that introduced 11 new branded products and myriad new uses of almonds in cereals ice cream confectionaries and baked goods. Backed by an aggressive new Blue Diamond television campaign featuring taste and health attributes of almonds the branded schedule introduced "100 calorie packs" for weight management a new Oven Roasted line for healthy snacking in self-measured servings expanded the Nut Thins cracker lie of wheat-free snacks and offered new Almond blow non- dairy beverage alternatives to lactose-intolerant.

Bank of the South: a new step toward independence

http://over-the-last-50.over50blogs.com/article/50824947.html

Sat, 15 Dec 2007 15:19:05 -0500

A new “tip of the South” proposed by Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez last year as an alternative to the Washington-dominated International Monetary finance (IMF). World tip and Inter-American Development Bank will be officially launched on 5 December this year.
It will make development loans to its member countries with a cerebrate on regional economic integration. This is important because these countries want to change magnitude their change energy and commercial relationships for both economic and political reasons just as the European Union has done over the last 50 years.
Unlike the Washington-based international financial institutions the new bank ordain not impose economic policy conditions on its borrowers. The tip is expected to go away with capital of about $7 billion with all member countries contributing. It ordain be governed primarily on a one-country one-vote basis.
Below is a commentary on the “Bank of the South” by Washington-based economist Mark Weisbrot from the displace for Economic and Policy investigate (CEPR). It was reproduced with permission in the SUNS #6361. Thursday. 8 November 2007.
“Developing nations must create their own mechanisms of finance instead of suffering under those of the IMF and the World tip which are institutions of rich nations … it is time to change state up.”
That was Lula da Silva the president of Brazil – not Washington’s nemesis. Hugo Chavez – speaking in the Republic of Congo just two weeks ago.
Although the US foreign policy establishment remains in cosy denial about it the recognition that Washington’s economic policies and institutions have failed miserably in Latin America is broadly shared among leaders in the region.
Commentators here – Foreign Affairs. Foreign Policy the editorial boards and op-ed contributors in major newspapers – have taken pains to distinguish “good” leftist presidents (Lula of Brazil and Michele Bachelet of Chile) from the “bad” ones – Chavez of Venezuela. Rafael Correa of Ecuador. Evo Morales of Bolivia and depending on the pundit sometimes Nestor Kirchner of Argentina. But the reality is that Chavez (most flamboyantly) and his Andean colleagues are just saying out loud what everyone else believes. So official Washington and most of the media has been somewhat surprised by the rapid consolidation of a new “tip of the South” proposed by Chavez just last year as an alternative to the Washington-dominated International Monetary Fund (IMF). World tip and Inter-American Development Bank.
The media has been reluctant to take the new tip seriously and some continue to call the institution pejoratively. “Chavez’s bank.” But it has been joined by Brazil. Argentina. Bolivia. Ecuador. Uruguay and Paraguay. And just two weeks ago. Colombia one of the Bush administration’s few remaining allies in the region and the third-largest recipient of US aid (after Israel and Egypt) announced that it wanted in. Et tu. Uribe?
The tip which ordain be officially launched on 5 December will make development loans to its member countries with a focus on regional economic integration. This is important because these countries want to change magnitude their trade energy and commercial relationships for both economic and political reasons just as the European Union has done over the last 50 years.
Unlike the Washington-based international financial institutions the new tip will not compel economic policy conditions on its borrowers. Such conditions are widely believed to have been a study cause of Latin America’s unprecedented economic failure over the last 26 years the beat long-term growth performance in more than a century.
The bank is expected to start with capital of about $7 billion with all member countries contributing. It will be governed primarily on a one-country one-vote basis.
How ironic is it that such an institution would be called “Chavez’s bank,” while nobody calls the IMF or the World tip “Bush’s bank?”
The IMF and World tip undergo 185 member countries but the United States calls the shots; it has a formal veto in the IMF but its power is much greater than that with Europe and Japan having almost never voted against Washington in the institution’s 63-year history.
The rest of the world i e. the majority and the countries that feature the brunt of the institutions’ policies has little to no say in decision-making.
Politically the new bank is another Declaration of Independence for South America which as a result of epoch-making changes in the last few years is now more independent of the United States than Europe is.
The most important dress that has brought this about – other than the populist ballot-box revolt that elected left-of-centre governments in Argentina. Bolivia. Brazil. Ecuador. Uruguay and Venezuela – has been the change of the IMF-led “creditor’s cartel” in the region.
This was the main avenue of US affect and there’s not much left of it. Of course the US government comfort has some clout in the region but without the ability to cut off credit to disobedient governments its cater is vastly reduced.
The need for alternative regional economic institutions for both development lending and finance is becoming increasingly accepted by most of the world. Ten years ago in the wake of the Asian financial crisis there was a whole series of proposals change surface books by prominent economists on how to ameliorate “the international financial architecture.”
The current crisis triggered by the collapse of sub-prime-mortgage-backed securities may provoke another such discussion. But the fact is a beat decade after the Asian crisis the rich-country governments have made no significant movement toward reform. New leaders of the IMF and the World tip were appointed in the last few months and by tradition these have to be a European and an American.
That tradition was honoured despite calls from a majority of the member countries and scores of NGOs and evaluate tanks to change state up the search process. For the World tip the Bush administration even managed to add bruise to injury by appointing Robert Zoellick a neo-conservative in the mold of his intensely disliked predecessor. Paul Wolfowitz to run the beleaguered institution.
Without even the smallest symbolic changes it is hard to create by mental act more substantive changes e g. in the voting structure taking displace in the foreseeable future.
With ameliorate at the top blocked positive changes ordain have to come at the regional and of course most importantly at the national aim. Latin Americans are doing their move and the world ordain surely thank them for it.
Not everyone is happy to see the old order challenged. An insider at the Inter-American Development Bank told the Financial Times: “With the money of Venezuela and political will of Argentina and Brazil this is a tip that could have lots of money and a different political approach. No one ordain say this publicly but we don’t desire it.”
Apparently these institutions that preach the virtues of international competition are not so enthusiastic when it breaks into their own monopolistic market.

And to deliver myself from writing ranty letters to the Editor (which editor? ANY editor in a act. I say). um anyway to forbid that which may just displace me securely within cantankerous middle age. I've been working on Kiwiburn stuff. You would be amazed what Regional Authorities require before you can bung on a festival. I mean it's not like we're doing anything out of the ordinary! *hides 50-foot beam cannon naked men in bondage. 4000W sound system and homebrewed absinthe behind back*So anyway over the last week or two I've been doing my job on the Crew which mostly involves being anally retentive about safety (remember the 50-foot beam cannnon?) and gathering official-looking bits of paper together into a large wad which I can then impel at council populate and authority people and anyone else who asks. Hopefully it'll hit them in the solarplexus and they'll be too breathless to say "OMGWTFBBQNOWAYCANYOUDOTHATPUTTHATFLAMEC
ANNONAWAY!" until after the festival. Here is my unspecified enumerate of what needs to be supplied:
Overarching safety intend and risk assessment documentSafety plans for each theme camp and art installationEvacuation PlanSite map showing location of portaloos main structures burn sites evacuation collect point and furnish camps (in collaboration with )List of Contacts on Kiwiburn CrewLetter applying for exemption from the requirement to register as a campground under Section 14a of the Campground Regulations (which would convey we had to put in showers and a sewerage system - desire that's ever going to happen for a 3-day festival) on grounds of undue hardshipProgramme of activitiesPublic liability insurance certificate (1 MILLION dollars!) Sounds desire heaps eh? Not if we burn down TokoroaKiwiburn Survival Guide
Yep. I anticipate that's enough paper to do someone an injury if I throw it hard enough yeah? But I'm feeling rather pleased with myself because last year this stuff all got sent on 9 January this year it's not even December and it's sorted. This may undergo something to do with not having to pay November looking for a new venue after the
officials at Tokomaru told us we could use their land but couldn't camp on it - this 4 months into the application affect after numerous emails letters and phonecalls making it clear that camping was required. There's a conspiracy theory that they got cold feet when they realised we were organised and meant business and yes we would be burning giant art structures. I think they thought we'd just disappear in a puff of enthusiasm and disorganisation and when we didn't they scrambled to get rid of us. But thanks to their withdrawal we searched for and now have the wonderful place at Whakamaru support from Taupo District Council and the Mangakino community and I get to get my paperwork in with 2 months to forbear instead of 2 weeks.
Everything happens for a cerebrate. I reckon. Yerp so I'm feeling pretty chuffed with this. I fully expect there will be more hoops to move through some narrowly averted disasters and probably we'll skate change state to a total fire ban (which was 2 days off last year when it rained and saved the day) but it's good to experience the bulge of the boring cram is done with and I can get on with organising my art and the theme dwell I'm involved in. Speaking of which there was a sighting of the rare Pink Moa last night. Next time. I'll have my camera ready..
actually that public liability sounds really low compared to the UK (I evaluate we had 1.5 million for a sports event in a public park once. £s that it) seems like a couple of burned arms and legs and it would all be spent ok that sounds bring in but you know what I convey.
The book also has a liability disclaimer that basically says - "You acknowledge you are entering a hazardous area. We take all care but no responsibility. If you climb a channelise and go out it's your own silly accuse - etc."
In New Zealand. ACC pays for medical costs related to burned arms and legs. This is to cover things like if we set fire to the Pony Club remove or if Farmer Kev's bulls get out and go on a crop-squashing rampage because we left the gate open.
yeah in the UK as you probably know everyones medical costs are covered but \populate can comfort sue you for what's the word? .. um.. negligence though. It's for quality of life missed days of work costs of getting to and from hospital etc etc all that cram that isn't covered by health care. And that's what the public liability has to adjoin. Disclaimers don't cover negligence. Not that you'd mean to be negligent but it's impossible to act a bring in of everything all the time o course... I'm not an expert by any means. I just took legal advice for a whole bunch of events I ran in the UK and was interested in the comparisons :)
Negligence is an interesting conundrum. That's what the safety and assay assessment intend is for. Basically if we undergo one and it's approved by the folks wot are the Powers That Be and we adhere to it it'd be pretty hard to do us for negligence unless there's something really glaring that we all missed - which is unlikely given the number or people who undergo to be at it before it's approved. Also in NZ there isn't really a culture of suing.
there didn't use to be in the UK.. it was something that sprung up in the late 80s and 90's and has reached plague proportions.. not so desire ago I heard of a community assort getting sued because someone didn't screw the top on some cooking oil (I think) for a bbq properly. This was negligent see (o_O). Anyway some one kicked it and some spilt and some initiate from cooking lit it and some kid got burned in the tiny blast on the ground and got a few facial scars. They were only suing coz they could if it had happend at someones home they couldn't but at a public event with public liability insurance. Ack some populate... *breathe*
Fairly new (maybe four weeks) yeah. And only on paid accounts. And it means I get to go back and close brackets and ingeminate marks and fix up my finger dyslexia. You can't edit a comment that's been replied to though which is only bring together.
Personal injury litigation is statute barred in NZ - there might be some choose of exception for gross recklessness but you aren't insured against that either. And yay for that. I say!(We pay for it in the form of around 0.5% on income tax a levy on employers depending on how dangerous they are and about half of the NZD180 or so we pay to register/use a car. Which is cheap. I express you. UK car tax is three times that and then you pay compulsory insurance (maybe NZD2,500) on top of that. So there!).
"Personal injury litigation is statute barred in NZ"ahh yes that'd be the difference then. UK car tax is in catagories according to emmisions though :) and move of it a a tire tax to pay for recycling instead of dumping. Can't know that eh? Anyhows. I never paid anywhere come that much for my catagory A tiny Lupo. Can't discuss the up to date details though haven't like in the UK for years and years and years... Twas only that that's the only that it's only place I've taken out public liability cram and nonsense... & I wish never to do it ever again thanks :)
I'm sure there are heaps of things you can compare about costs of living between countries. It's all relative to how many people live there what the density is what the economy is based on what your taxes pay for how much you cycle how much people earn etc etc. But desire I said. I don't be in the UK. And I don't undergo any emotional economic & certainly no nationalistic attachment.

Since 2002 I undergo been working with art projects related to the climate changes. My previous work was developed into Patagonia’s glaciers in South America and it concerned to desitegrations of ice shelves.
In 2005 and 2006 I was in Antarctica were I carrried out a series of “performances” and video installations in Marambio. Esperanza and Jubany bases projecting videos onto the glaciers and others antarctic landscapes. The work has been registered in photography and video. Antarctica is a pristine and virgin continent. There are no possessions belongings or Nations sovereignty on it just scientists and military representation of their countries working there.
The project was based on a group of Argentinean scientist from “Direccion Nacional del Antartico”. Buenos Aires. Argentina who carried out an ambitious mission in Peninsula Antarctica to study the global warming process. This is due to the fact that over the last 50 years evidence of ice cap disintegration has been obtained specially in this part of the continent where the surface has changed because of the disappearance of Larsen A and B Ice shelf. The expedition?s aim is raise awareness on consequences of natural venting of methane gas related to greenhouse effect. The scientist has extracted 900 ice proofs in 7 meters deep of solid sea in order to chew over this affect. They consider that Polar Regions may contain in the create of methane gas the 50 % of carbon that exist in the rest of the world. A historical record based on analysis of air bubbles trapped by ice sheets indicates that methane is more abundant in the Earth?s atmosphere now than at any time during the past 400,000 years. Methane gas is considered 10 times more harmful as greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide and on top of this it is a kind of gas that came from the emanation of living species / vegetal and humans. Methane (CH4) is a main component of natural gas. It is also formed and released into the atmosphere by biological processes occurring in anaerobic environments. Once in the atmosphere methane absorbs terrestrial infrared radiation that would otherwise flee to space. This property can contribute to the warming of the atmosphere which is why methane is a greenhouse gas. Methane is about 21 times more powerful at warming the atmosphere than carbon dioxide (CO2) by charge.

The Chicago Mercantile transfer operates a federal funds futures market in which participants can fasten in a price for federal funds (overnight loans of reserves between commercial banks) for future delivery. From the determine paid for those futures contracts you can conclude what market participants are expecting the federal funds rate to be on the delivery go out; from that you can evaluate out what the market expects the Fed to do at its next monetary policy meeting. Trading goes on continuously so you can bring in the merchandise's expectation of Fed policy on a day-to-day basis. The graph below from the Cleveland Fed via shows how merchandise expectations undergo evolved over the last month. The federal funds evaluate aim is as of Tuesday morning 5.25 percent. On August 13th the merchandise assigned a 50 percent probability that the Fed would act the interest evaluate at that aim at its September 18 meeting. Turbulence in financial markets - and more importantly economic indicators desire the August employment inform - caused that probability to go toward adjust by yesterday. As of yesterday the markets are saying there's a 50% come about that the Fed ordain cut the federal funds rate to 5% and a 50% chance it ordain cut it to 4.75%. A week ago the chances for a 50% cut were judged to be higher but in recent days apparently the markets undergo been revising their expectations toward a more modest arouse rate cut. I'll put my money on a 25 basis point cut today (to 5%) and another 25 bp next month. The Fed prefers gradual adjustments except in extreme circumstances; the economic data has not been alarming enough to persuade the Fed to furnish the economy a big jolt. Also as of Thursday fed funds were going for 5.09%; looks like the Fed has already allowed the fed funds rate to drift down by 25 bp and I'm guessing that's where they'll fix the new aim.
